Welcome
A profile
of the 20th Century's most successful sires in the major thoroughbred
breeding countries of the world.
Great
Thoroughbred Sires Of The World is published by The
Australian Bloodhorse Review. It is a work of massive scale, chronicling
the achievements of the greatest thoroughbred sires whose careers
broadly spanned the 20th century. Two hundred sires from the world’s
major racing nations will be featured in Stallion register format
with an essay on each done by internationally an recognized authority
on the breed. Two pages at least will be devoted to each entry
while some of the more influential stallions such as Hyperion and
Northern Dancer will have additional pages in order to do justice
to all their important descendants.
“If
you have someone on your list for whom buying a Christmas gift
is difficult, consider the problem solved
if that person has
a passion for horse breeding”
“ Great
Thoroughbred Sires makes obsolete at least one four-drawer filing
cabinet, as it features 205 notable
stallions of the 20th
century and beyond.” - Tony Arrold, The Australian - Monday
